Outstanding Carlos Tevez shoots The Old Lady into the Last eight of Europe's elite soccer competition

Two goals from Carlos Tevez helped ease Juventus through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League for only the second time since 2006.
Last night’s 3-0 win at Borussia Dortmund, added to their 2-1 first-leg victory in Turin, saw the Serie A leaders through 5-1 on aggregate.

The former Manchester United and City striker opened the scoring on three minutes with a stunning strike after he received the ball from the left, moved it on to his right foot and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner.
Juventus were in control for most of the match, even though they lost Paul Pogba, linked with various Premier League clubs, to what looked like a hamstring injury in the 26th minute.
Borussia rarely looked like scoring and managed their only shot on target on 63 minutes, though Kevin Kampl’s effort was easily saved by Gianluigi Buffon
It was inevitable that Juventus would extend their lead. On 70 minutes Tevez was again involved as he raced on to a chip over a Borussia defence pushing up, continued into the box, drew the keeper and laid on a perfectly timed pass for Alvaro Morata to stroke the ball into an empty net.
Tevez added his second nine minutes later, Roberto Pereyra sliding the ball through and the Argentine firing a low shot past Roman Weidenfeller.
