Former Super Eagles Star Wins PFA Award

Ex-Nigeria defender Danny Shittu has won the 2015 PFA Player of the year in the Community award.

The burly former Bolton defender beat his compatriots Hope Akpan and Elliot Omozusi to the coveted award.

He said shortly after winning the award: "The only thing greater than achieving is inspiring"

Other winners on the night include, Derby County who won the Community Club of the Year, Conor Chaplin who was named the apprentice of the Year 2014/15 for the Championship.

 Shittu, who currently plays for Millwall in the English championship has represented Nigeria at the highest level, since making his international debut in 2002.

He featured for Nigeria both at the nations cup and the world cup.

The Millwall player was also the winner of the clubs MVP player for the 2014/15 football season.
