The Fenerbahce team bus came under armed attack on its way to the airport following their 5-1 away win at the Black Sea side Caykur Rizespor in Turkey’s Super Lig.
Fener said on their official website that the bus driver was wounded in the attack and taken to hospital. There was no mention of any injuries to anyone else.

The club posted several pictures of the bus on their website, showing a shattered side window and damage to the front windscreen. The pictures also showed blood on the driver’s seat and the steering wheel.
Initially there were conflicting reports over the nature of the attack, with Abdulcelil Oz, the governor of Trabzon at first saying that said the driver appeared to have been hit by a stone, while Fenerbahce TV said the bus was attacked by an assailant with a shotgun.
Oz later changed his view, saying the driver appeared to have been hit by a bullet. “The latest situation is that it appears to be a gun,” Oz said. “It is too soon to say anything definite, but it appears to be a type of bullet fired by a rifle.”
The players were travelling from the city of Rize to the airport in the neighbouring city of Trabzon, to return to Istanbul.
The Fenerbahce general secretary, Mahmut Uslu, said on the club website that the attack was “very wrong”, saying: “We come here to do sport, we come to play football.”
The Turkish Football Federation released a statement condemning the attack.

Due to the attack, Turkey's SuperLig and domestic cup matches have been suspended for one week after the Fenerbahce team bus was shot at by a gunman on Saturday.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced the decision after a meeting with the sports minister on Monday.
"We believe the incident was a terrorist attack, targeting not only Fenerbahce but Turkish sports," said TFF chairman Yildirim Demiroren.
"We decided to postpone all league and cup games for a week."

Champions Fenerbahce were travelling to Trabzon airport, following their 5-1 victory over Rizespor, when the shooting happened.
The driver was taken to hospital but no players were injured in the attack.
In a statement on the TFF website,  sports minister Akif Cagatay Kilic said the bus driver, named as Ufuk Kiran, was "recovering quickly".
Fenerbahce had called for the league to be suspended saying: "We think it's unavoidable to suspend the league until this dark attack is enlightened."
